Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

First Part:

Ingredients

Pork shoulder
Water or beer
Onions
Apple cider vinegar
Salt or seasoning salt, pepper
Liquid smoke

Method:

Remove excess fat from pork shoulder, place in slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper. Put onions around pork.

Pour water or beer into slow cooker, full about halfway.

Add vinegar (maybe 1/4 cup?) and liquid smoke (few drops).

Set to low for at least 6 hours, if not more.

Second part:

Ingredients:

BBQ sauce (I like sweet baby rays or bullseye. I used sweet baby rays original at the shower..they sell a big one at Costco). If you are making a small pork (around 2-3lbs), prob need a whole bottle of the regular size bottles from Safeway. A big pork, need a whole Costco sized bottle.

Apple cider vinegar (maybe 1/4 – 1/2 cup?..I like mine more vinegary)

Liquid smoke (a few drops)

Worschershire sauce (few drops)

Salt and pepper

 

Method:

Mix all the ingredients for the sauce together but taste to your liking.

Dump all the water and onion out.

Shred the pork with two forks.

Put sauce and pork into slow cooker, mix up, set to high and cook for 30 mins.

Eat with buns and coleslaw.
